Islay is an island located on the south west coast of Scotland (see the map below). It is known as the “Queen of the Hebrides” and is rich in history and culture.

Islay is well known for its varying landscapes and of course its whisky. With eight working distilleries on the island and a ninth in sight, it is little wonder that Islay attracts whisky lovers from all over the world.

Islay has a population of less than 4,000 but with new ventures opening up around the island, it is hoped that this will increase over the future years.
